NASCAR Betting - UAW-Chrysler 400

The drivers of NASCAR start their engines at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend in the UAW-Chrysler 400. Jimmie Johnson got things going with a third-place finish in California a few weeks ago and the oddsmakers at Pinnacle think he'll do even better this weekend. Johnson is the defending Nextel Cup champion, but the reason he's the oddsmakers favorite is probably because he won this race last year as well as back in 2005. Johnson is a +588 favorite at Pinnacle to make it three in a row in Vegas on Sunday. The last time Johnson didn't win this race Matt Kenseth claimed the checkered flag. Kenseth is also a two-time winner at Las Vegas, having won this race back-to-back in 2003-2004, but he's found much farther down the list than Johnson. Kenseth is also coming off a win last time out in California, but the oddsmakers have him pegged at +1042. Getting better odds than Kenseth are two racers who have never won at Las Vegas and have yet to win this season: Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne. Stewart has led the field at times in both races so far, but he hasn't led when it has counted - at the finish line. Kahne's best finish so far this season was seventh at Daytona. Stewart is listed at +704 at Pinnacle, while Kahne comes in at +722. Other former winners at Las Vegas in this weekend's field include Jeff Gordon, (+1260), Mark Martin (+2509), and two-time winner Jeff Burton (+1579).
